When a broke Hollywood skater is struck by a satanic fame-dealer's curse and gains strange powers instead, he masks up to stop the demon, and to save the cursed starlet he's falling for before her time runs out.
The son of a dead actor is a broke nobody skater going nowhere in Hollywood, until he stumbles onto a mysterious satanic figure working black magic in the Hollywood Hills. This man gives newcomers to L.A. fame and fortune in exchange for their souls. But the deal is a curse, and those who take it soon learn their souls weren't the only price. They're caught in an invisible, inescapable vise where every move and every choice pushes them closer to death, which makes the bargain even sweeter for the villain.
When our hero is cursed too, the magic backfires (or does it?) and gives him powers that might finally end the madness and destroy the demon feeding on Hollywood. Naturally, he decides the best way to use them is to put on a mask like Kick-Ass or Spider-Man. After all, this is Hollywood. Along the way he falls for a rising starlet who's strangely drawn to him, with the mask on and off. Then he learns the truth: she's under the villain's curse too, her life is spinning out of control, and time is running out to save her.
